No Fail Chocolate Chip Cake by Kaye Robison

1 cup sour cream

1/3 cup oil

1/3 cup water

4 eggs

1 (18.25-ounce) package chocolate cake mix

1 (3-ounce) instant chocolate pudding mix

1 (12-ounce) package chocolate chips

Powdered sugar (optional)

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, mix sour cream, oil, water, eggs, cake mix and pudding mix. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch bundt pan. Bake 50 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick iserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from pan and sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of cake, if desired. Serves 10-12

  1. I love this recipe but have found I like it more dense and less fattening. Try: 1 devils food cake mix, 1 small pudding mix, 2 eggs, 1 3/4 cups milk. Beat or blend in mixer. Add one package chocolate chips. Same baking instructions above. Usually full 50 minutes for me on 350.
